Traveling abroad with kids?
Are you, or your child’s other parent, traveling with the children alone? If so you may want to consider completing a Travel Consent Letter. You can visit the Government of Canada website to use the interactive form to fill in your information and then download and print the template.

Preparing Travel Letters
Our office is pleased to prepare travel consent letters and other travel-related letters for our clients when a letter is required for a child or another individual travelling.
To prepare the letter, we require the client to provide all information necessary for the specific trip, including the traveller’s information, travel dates, destination, travel arrangements and the details of any accompanying adult or other person involved in the trip.
The information provided must be complete and accurate. Our office prepares the letter based on the information provided by the client and is not responsible for determining the travel requirements of a particular country, airline, border authority or other organization.
Our fee is $95.00 per travel letter.
If the letter also needs to be notarized, notarization is an additional fee.
Please provide all required travel information before the letter is prepared. Additional revisions or new letters resulting from changes to the travel arrangements may be subject to an additional fee. If you are unsure what information is required for your particular travel letter, please contact our office before providing your instructions.
Identification
Please note that we will need two pieces of Identification for the parent giving consent for the child to travel.
When coming in to sign your Travel Consent Letter please bring in your two pieces of ID that matches the name on your Travel Consent Letter exactly. If your Travel Consent Letter has first, middle and last name, your ID should show your first, middle and last name.
One of your ID’s needs to be Government Issued (Driver’s License, Passport, Health Services Card, Permanent Resident Card, etc), your second piece of ID can be another Government Issued ID or a major credit card and have your name and signature on the ID.
